Reliable Sites to Download Free MP3 songs - coz life aint fun without music

Okay! So you like to listen to music ... that's absolutely normal, unless you are deaf or a zombie or a sadist. No offence if you are one of these, but I'm sure you wouldn't be reading this blog if you were! Moving on! For totally personal reasons (mentioned later), I am not keen about directly paying for listening to music. The internet had removed all sorts of barriers between me and the world. And now I wanted to listen to the latest music from around the world.

Finding the right place (website) that was true to its word (mainly "download free mp3 songs") proved to be quite difficult. This posed a problem! After many painful hours of dodging deceitful websites, virus/trojan laden exploiters and simply broken links and poor quality nonsense, I had found a few places that were true to their word. Thus my Problem was Solved. I will not go into the detailed steps of my labour - which was mostly loads of trial-and-error web browsing.

I know that with all the hype about piracy and copyrights and intellectual property and such law infringements, a lot of people are sympathetic to the cause of original thinkers, artists, musicians, Microsoft etc. But I have a few counter arguments that may persuade such people to opine in the opposite direction.
  1. Have you seen MTV Cribs? If you have, then you also know how excessively well paid they are. They won't miss a few thousand dollars!
  2. People from developing countries do not have the means to make a purchase. People in these countries don't own International Credit Cards cause they are disallowed by the law. Sending money outside the country is prohibited and considered as money laundering, unless you get special permission from the government (to download Britney's "Gimme More"!?!)
  3. The money needed to buy an Audio CD album of Celine Dion is an average person's monthly income in these countries. So, what, just cause they are poor means they don't have the right to any entertainment? If you are thinking about local entertainment, in countries where people struggle for 3 meals a day, not much is spent on entertainment and so quality is crap.
  4. Some people just live in the dark without knowing that they can get for free (almost) what they are spending big bucks on. If you are so righteous, donate the money to under funded charity organizations that look after the disabled, sick and poor; and quench your entertainment needs for free (almost). Almost cause you need to spend on computer price, mp3 player price, internet price etc.
  5. Latest music and/or music videos are not available to developing countries from the world famous Youtube.
  6. I'll add more arguments later
So to cut a long story short, I am listing some sites from where you can listen and download the latest songs/music that are of fairly good quality for FREE.
I'll add more sites along the way. This is not an advertisements for these sites and I do not take any responsibility for what happens after you download from them. But I can assure you that I use their services religiously and I'm not complaining. Spread the word and enjoy free music (the picture below might help!)
